‘Big Deal’: The Christian Science Monitor has a decent take on Sunday’s massive turnout to view the Big Dig’s new tunnel. One objection: The story's claim that the turnout says much about Bostonians is backed up with an old stereotype of Bostonians. The fact is, just about everyone has a Tonker Truck gene in them. Doesn't matter what profession you're in. If you loved Tonker Trucks as a kid, then you love the Big Dig as a grown-up.
