Remembering 9-11: The Boston-based Atlantic Monthly is another publication Hub Blog will monitor frequently. Personally, I think it’s become the second-best magazine in America. (The New Yorker is always hard to beat, though the Atlantic is gaining ground.) Atlantic has an annoying policy of A.) Not putting its content online quickly and B.) only putting portions of its content online. Still, the September issue is out, and it includes the second installment of “American Ground,” the three-part series by William Langewiesche on the sad, heroic struggle at Ground Zero in New York. Only excerpts are available online. But it gives you an idea why Langewiesche’s reporting is winning so much praise. Outstanding journalism. Buy a copy on the newsstand.
