‘Ignoble Nobel’: The Christian Science Monitor just nails it: Carter richly deserves the Nobel Prize for Peace, and Nobel committee members ought to be embarrassed. But they won't/can’t be embarrassed because they’re too drunk with their own power and self-righteousness. CSM: “Picking Carter so late (24 years) after the Camp David peace accords, and when a Republican president is in the middle of an antiterrorism campaign, belittles Carter's work and confirms the Nobel is used as a soapbox for overt political influence.”
