My summer reading list is partially set: My father has read David Halberstam’s ''The Teammates'' and he loved it. My mother gets the book next. Then moi. ... Think I’ll read “Summer of ‘49” while waiting in line. ... The Pesky/Hillenbrand controversy explained: “How do you quit being Johnny Pesky?'' ... One other summer reading suggestion (with a local angle): Sabin Willett’s ‘The Deal.’ Halfway through it. Not bad. Not bad at all.
