‘Three tipping points at once’: Tom Friedman’s ‘three tipping points’ could be four tipping points, now that Hosni Mubarak is talking democracy in Egypt. ... The elections in Iraq and Palestine were highly encouraging events. Now Lebanon and Egypt are stirring. Things can still easily go haywire. It’s the Middle East, after all. But things are certainly headed in the right direction at the moment. Cross our fingers, knock on wood, etc. ... Oh, and don't forget Afghanistan -- making it five potential tipping points. ...
