I guess it's settled: The AK-47 is better than the M16. Why? Because the U.S. government is now one of the world's largest buyers of Kalashnikov rifles. The Russians aren't happy their great and glorious 'revolutionary iconography' has fallen into the hands of greedy American capitalists -- when it should be greedy Russian capitalists making a mint on them. ... You gotta admit: Kalashnikovs just look cooler than M16s. Can you imagine Vanessa Redgrave dancing around with a M16 over her head? I can't. ... I'm expecting Colt and some Connecticut Congressmen to complain any minute now about Pentagon procurement policies. ...
