'OFF or ON?' - Part II
Here's Part II of Errol Morris's look into whether Roger Fenton staged his famous Crimean War photo. It's a fascinating who-done-it blog series. But we'll have to wait for the answer until Part III. ... I thought the number of cannonballs in the photo was key. But now I'm not so sure. ... Morris provides great background on the war. This paragraph caught my attention as it applies to today's debate over another conflict:

Fenton arrives when things are beginning to improve a bit after a huge uproar in England. The government has fallen over the miscarriage of what was going on, having started out with almost complete support from pretty much everybody.
