IMHO, Sal's plan has been the same for months -- get through July as Speaker, then (if necessary) simply announce that he's not running for re-election. It seems he's made it, and can go "on his own terms" -- without losing a vote. His current term runs through January 7, so that's all right.Makes sense. ...
