Re Deval's Turnpike proposal, I agree with this: "This whole plan is starting to feel like a hurried-up attempt to appease angry drivers who are about to get socked with a massive toll hike." ... Re "at what point do drivers cry uncle?": I'm already mapping out, in my mind, alternative routes to-and-from my father's house in Sudbury, if tolls go up, i.e. Route 2. That means you, Lincoln. ... Outraged Liberal has yet more on the ludicrousness of relying on Metrowest motorists to pay for the Big Dig and the state's transportation needs. ... But, hey, we can always drive through Lincoln if policymakers don't listen to common-sense suggestions about sharing the burdens. ... Ah, another $100 million just to close western toll booths.
