David Ignatius is my new turn-to guy on Iraq matters. He's more confident than me that regime change is coming in the long run. I tend to see the crisis as a cross between the Hungarian Revolution and Tiananmen Square. The former took decades to work out in favor of Hungarians. The latter still hasn't played out. I hope I'm wrong. ... Tom Friedman bemoans 'worthless chatter' about Obama's response to Iran. Like this or this? One questions Obama's commitment to democracy. The other draws relativist parallels between recent events in America and Iran. Juan disappoints this morning.
