Wayne, whose political judgment I trust, says Kirk is a good choice. He may be a good guy. But this is a behind-the-scenes deal to appoint a behind-the-scenes guy, promoted by people who changed the succession law a few years back to allegedly avoid these behind-the-scenes antics by insiders.
