'My break with the extreme right'
It took Michael Fumento a while, but he finally made the break. My own break with the "conservative movement" occurred years ago. But I wasn't -- and haven't been -- as articulate or funny as Michael is in his good-bye-to-all-that column. ... As I try to tell friends who still believe in the "conservative movement," it's the hack and tribal nature of the "movement" that I object to, not the general philosophy of conservativism. But they see the two as inseparable.
