That was fast: Bobby V gets the heave
It's the most encouraging thing so far this year: The Sox have already fired Bobby V. ... The last straw must have been his blaming the assistant coaches. They probably would have canned him anyway. But his they-betrayed-me crack was just too weird -- and certainly didn't earn him the courtesy of a more diplomatic shove out the door. ... The winner in all this: Ben Cherington, who, if I recall correctly, didn't want Bobby in the first place. Hmmm. Who did want Bobby? I know: Larry! Where are you? Larry? Hello? ...
